Employment Advice

This service has replaced Universal Jobmatch.

Job Help – provides hints and tips on applying for jobs and job search ideas.

Kickstart offers a six month paid work placement to 16-24 year olds who are in receipt of Universal Credit. For more information young people should send a journal message from their digital account to their work coach to express an interest in the scheme,

Family Health

Family Support Service

Every family has its ups and downs. Being a parent is hard work and there are no instructions.  Sometimes, you or your children may need extra support. This may be before your children are born, when they are very young, or throughout their school years.


Food poverty

If you’re struggling with not having enough money to buy food, you may be able to get help from a food bank.

Food banks give food parcels to people in exchange for a voucher.

You can get a voucher from your doctor, health visitor, social worker or family support worker


Housing Advice

Advice and information for people who are homeless, threatened with homelessness or who want to join the Council’s Housing Register
